Dauda is the musical pseudonym of Remko Mooi. As his ‘Senegalese name’ while living in St. Louis, Senegal, in 2013, Remko turned towards melodic techno in his music production hobby. The release of ‘Retroactive’, on Christian Smith’s Tronic (VA Rockets/Launch vol. 8), was a clear highlight. At the end of 2022, Remko founded Kaleidoscope Music. Kaleidoscope allows Remko to release tracks that would have otherwise been difficult to put out through more commercially orientated labels. Moreover, it allows him to organize techno parties with a clear identity. Though blasting techno parties in their own right, these CircleVision parties enable visitors to donate to the charity cause that was selected.
